Police Unity Tour

The Police Unity Tour:
Our Team proudly participates in the annual Police Unity Tour bicycle ride from New Jersey to Washington, DC.  This incredible event honors our fallen Law Enforcement brothers and sisters who have been killed in the line of duty.  This event is an approximate 300 mile bicycle ride with starting locations in and around the New Jersey area.  As the Tour progresses, all of the different Chapters unite and join forces as we all pedal into Washington, DC together.

Fundraising:
Each Team Member participating must raise a significant minimum amount which is then donated to the Police Unity Tour in order to be able to participate each May.  There are several Chapters consisting of participants from all across the country of various ranks and agencies.  We participate with Chapter 10 and begin in Hamilton, New Jersey.  We ride through New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, DC.  Our Chapter’s required amount is $1,850.00 per participant!!  The majority of our fundraising efforts support our Team’s participation.  In 2015 we had two participants.  In 2016 we had three participants.  In 2017, we plan to have six participants.

The Purpose of the Police Unity Tour:
The Tour began in 1997 and has grown tremendously over the years.  The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have been killed in the line of duty.  The secondary purpose is to raise funds and support for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum in Washington, DC.  Additional information about the Police Unity Tour can be found on their main page located at: www.policeunitytour.com
